Environmental Management

Sonae Sierra’s environmental approach is based upon the implementation of its Environmental Management System (EMS), certified under the ISO 14001 standard. The EMS covers all business activities and applies to all countries where the company operates. It is intended to increase eco-efficiency and promote the control of the company's most significant impacts, whilst fulfilling the objectives stated in the Environmental Policy.

The Environment Manager is responsible for the rules and procedures of the EMS, and monitoring and audit of its implementation by all Sonae Sierra employees, especially those who perform critical environment related jobs in each business.
